Ultrasonographic features of apparent canine coccidiosis in a 5 m.o. Labrador puppy
Just a nice image from today: a pup with 2 month history of persistent haematochezia and diarrhoea. Unresponsive to dietary manipulations, beta-lactams or antihelminthics.
…but faecal microscopy positive for Isospora.
Normally I have a healthy scepticism for the significance of faecal ‘pathogens’ but in this case it does seem a plausible explanation for signs.
