Sonography of chronic gracilis muscle tear in a Greyhound
Not rocket science but I’ve not seen a published image of this.
Transverse view of the distal part of the gracilis muscle in a Greyhound with recurrent lameness, bruising and swelling on the inner aspect of the proximal tibia.
In comparison to the unaffected side:
There is convincing disruption of the normal fibre orientation and widespread hyperechoic change consistent with fibrosis.
