Diarrhoea associated with a jejunal foreign body in a dog
This is a Springer Spaniel presenting with vomiting and profuse diarrhoea of several days’ duration. This is the diarrhoea:

BUT, just to prove that you shouldn’t jump to conclusions, a hunt around the mid-abdomen reveals an irregular shadowing density in the jejunum:
That has a bit too much of a corner on it to be a gas cap. The gut oral to the suspicious area is dilated:
…and aborally, it narrows again:
Looks enough to justify an exploratory laparotomy:
I know it’s not unprecendented. But unusual to see such profuse diarrhoea in SI obstruction.
