Vet Practice Support statement on GDPR compliancy
With new GDPR regulations coming into force from 25/05/2018 we all need to ensure appropriate measures are taken to avoid breaches in personal data confidentiality. For this reason we kindly request that, if you’re sending us patient clinical notes, you only provide us with patient’s details sufficient to allow identification (name, breed, DOB, sex and ID number from your system where possible) and the owner’s surname without initials. We do not require any other client data. Any inappropriate personal data sent to us, or collected erroneously will deleted promptly from our database and devices. We will not store any client personal data.
We will only use our own password protected devices to write reports, which will be sent to you via email.
We will only access your practice’s software to read patient’s medical information and we will no longer type notes or price up our work on your systems. Charges will be detailed in the report under “Anticipated Charges”. Remote access to your systems will also cease.
