Lung rockets in video
A videoclip of lung rockets from an unfortunate cat with severe CHF. This shows the B lines sliding from side to side with respiratory movement of the lung against the body wall. Chest radiographs confirmed changes consistent with pulmonary oedema.

Sadly, in addition to CHF he also had multi-limb arterial thromboembolism and a rectal temperature of 34.8C. CHF, multiple limb involvement and hypothermia are known indicators of poor prognosis in FATE. This particular patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy had left atrial spontaneous echocontrast (‘smoke’) for several months and despite clopidogrel therapy, at this presentation, had developed a large mobile clot which actually disappeared up the aorta during the echo exam.
